Meet Dr. Stacey Farquhar

Helping Women and Families Thrive Through Every Stage of Life

Dr- Stacey-StandingFor more than 24 years, Dr. Stacey has helped people better understand their bodies, their health, and their capacity to heal. While chiropractic adjustments are at the center of her care, her true passion lies in education, empowerment, and helping people become active participants in their own well-being.

Why I Became A Chiropractor

My journey into chiropractic began long before I ever stepped foot in chiropractic college. As an infant, I was born a month premature in a footling breech presentation. I was bottle-fed during a time when formula was often considered superior to breastfeeding, and I began crawling and walking unusually early. While those milestones were celebrated, they also came with consequences. I developed a pigeon-toed gait that required a foot brace, and over time my body adapted to patterns of tension and compensation that would continue to affect me throughout my childhood and adolescence.

As a teenager, I developed severe menstrual pain that often left me unable to function normally. Like many young women, I was prescribed stronger and stronger medications to manage the symptoms. Those medications eventually led to digestive issues, which led to more medications, including the birth control pill, which then contributed to migraines. I found myself trapped in a cycle that felt all too common: treating one symptom often seemed to create another.

Everything changed when I discovered chiropractic. For the first time, someone looked beyond my symptoms and helped me understand how the structure and function of the body influence overall health. What I eventually learned was that many of my challenges were connected to patterns of tension, compensation, and pelvic distortion that had likely begun much earlier in life.

Chiropractic introduced me to a completely different way of thinking about health. Instead of asking, “What medication do I need?” I began asking, “Why is my body struggling in the first place?” That question ultimately became my calling.

A Holistic Approach To Health

Over the past 24 years, my understanding of health has continued to evolve. I believe our bodies possess an incredible capacity to heal, adapt, and thrive when given the right support. For me, that means focusing on the foundations of health:

  • Healthy movement
  • Nervous system function
  • Nutrition
  • Sleep
  • Stress management
  • Meaningful connection

While I deeply appreciate the role modern medicine plays in emergencies and trauma care, I generally prefer natural approaches whenever appropriate. That philosophy has guided many of my own life decisions, from home-birthing and breastfeeding my two children to the products I use in my home and on my skin today.

Supporting Women Through Every Stage Of Life

Some of the most meaningful experiences of my life have centered around supporting women and families. After the birth of my children, I became a certified HypnoBirthing instructor and spent many years teaching parents how to approach birth with greater confidence and trust in the body’s innate wisdom. I also had the privilege of serving as an attending doula for the home births of all four of my nephews. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the strength, resilience, and adaptability of the human body.

Today, I particularly enjoy working with women of all ages, children, and teenagers. I have a special interest in helping women navigate the challenges of perimenopause and beyond. As someone walking that journey myself, I understand firsthand how confusing and disruptive these transitions can sometimes feel. One of my greatest joys is helping women better understand their bodies and sharing practical strategies that support greater resilience, vitality, and well-being.

My Approach To Chiropractic

My practice has evolved significantly since graduating in 2001. While chiropractic adjustments remain at the heart of what I do, I draw from a variety of techniques and years of clinical experience to tailor care to each individual. Torque Release Technique serves as my primary assessment tool, while treatment may include hands-on adjusting, Integrator, Arthrostim, and drop-table techniques.
Above all, I strive to listen carefully and meet people where they are. Many patients describe my approach as intuitive, thoughtful, and highly individualized.

More Than Symptom Relief

The longer I practice, the more convinced I become that chiropractic care is one of healthcare’s best-kept secrets. Not because it treats symptoms. But because it helps people become more resilient.

A healthy, adaptable nervous system influences how we move, recover, respond to stress, and navigate life’s inevitable challenges. I believe chiropractic adjustments are one of the most powerful tools available to support that resilience. And I don’t think that should be a secret anymore.

Beyond The Office

When I’m not in practice, you’ll usually find me on a yoga mat, exploring a hiking trail, planning my next travel adventure, enjoying a great meal with friends, listening to music, dancing, or sharing laughter over a glass of wine.

I have a particular love for French culture and language, a gift from my Canadian roots, and a deep appreciation for Greek food and traditions through my mother’s family. I believe life is meant to be fully lived, deeply experienced, and shared with the people we love. That same philosophy guides the way I practice every day.
