Women’s Wellness & Perimenopause Care in Franklin
Because Midlife Shouldn’t Feel Like Survival
Many women arrive at our office feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, achy, disconnected from their bodies, or simply “not themselves.” They’re sleeping differently. Recovering differently. Handling stress differently. And often wondering: “Is this just part of getting older?” The answer is not always.
Supporting Your Nervous System Through Change
Perimenopause affects far more than hormones. It influences:
- Sleep
- Energy
- Mood
- Stress resilience
- Recovery
- Joint comfort
- Mental clarity
During this transition, supporting the nervous system becomes increasingly important.
How Chiropractic May Help
While chiropractic does not treat hormonal conditions, many women report improvements in:
- Overall stress resilience
- Sleep quality
- Mobility
- Energy levels
- Recovery
- Sense of well-being
When the nervous system functions more efficiently, the body often adapts to life’s challenges more effectively.
Dr. Stacey’s Perspective
One of the things I’ve learned after more than two decades in practice is that women are incredibly resilient. We’re often juggling careers, relationships, children, aging parents, community responsibilities, and somehow still trying to take care of ourselves somewhere in the middle of all that. What has surprised me most is how many women arrive in my office believing that exhaustion, poor sleep, joint aches, brain fog, anxiety, low energy, and feeling disconnected from themselves are simply things they have to accept as a normal part of aging. I don’t believe that.
While hormonal transitions like perimenopause and menopause are natural phases of life, struggling through them is not something we should automatically expect. As someone navigating this season of life myself, I have gained a whole new appreciation for how interconnected everything is. Hormones matter. Nutrition matters. Movement matters. Sleep matters. Stress matters. And perhaps most importantly, the health of the nervous system matters. What I’ve learned is that resilience doesn’t happen by accident. It is built.
It’s built through the small daily choices we make. Through movement. Through nourishing foods. Through meaningful relationships. Through managing stress. Through maintaining healthy function in the body and nervous system. My role is not to “fix” women. My role is to help them better understand their bodies, support their nervous systems, and reconnect with the incredible capacity they already have to adapt, heal, and thrive.
What I wish every woman knew is this: You are not broken. Your body is not betraying you.
And many of the challenges you’re experiencing are signals that your body may need more support, not less. Some of the most rewarding moments in practice come from helping women realize they can feel strong, vibrant, capable, and optimistic again. That journey looks different for every woman, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
